The Arakura-Fuji-Sengen Shrine was founded in 705, it is one of the venerable shrines in Yamanashi prefecture. Since Mt. Fuji has such close ties to the shrine, the scenery of the Arakura-Fuji-Sengen Shrine can be enjoyed as if it is watching over Mt. Fuji.
In the year 705, the shrine was enshrined as the guardian deity in the Kainokuni-Yatsushirogun-Arakura-kyo*1 area as Fuji north exit town known as Fuji-Kitaguchi-Kyo*1. In 807, during the great eruption of Mt. Fuji, a fire extinguishing festival took place for the country's peace and security. During the Sengoku Era (Civil War era), the father of Shingen Takeda, Nobutora Takeda, captured a camp in Niikurayama during the war with Hojo, in the precinct of Arakurayama, he dedicated a sword because they prayed for victory, and won the war.
